Brazil's legislative arm, the Chamber of Deputies, has endorsed the legislative proposal 3,626/2023, setting the stage for the structured governance of gambling activities and the reintegration of iGaming, following its provisional exclusion by the Senate.

On December 21, a vote finalized the bill's approval process, which started in the Senate on December 12. The bill changes tax rates, limiting Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) to 12% and setting a 15% tax on players' net winnings each year.

Licensed companies must pay an initial fee up to 30 million Brazilian reals to manage up to five brands. Unlicensed companies cannot advertise in Brazil.

The bill is waiting for the president's final approval to become law.
